Command Alkon provides services and software across the entire heavy building ecosystem but they lack consistency in how they approached telling that story.
After noticing that several inconsistent—and often off-brand—methods were used to explain their reach, the marketing team decided to unify the approach

The Concept
We needed illustrations that could be pulled apart and used to craft several different ecosystems in one. The final assets would work pieces of a puzzle that anyone could put together to build what they needed.
I wanted the modular design to be easy to build on, so more people would be more likely to use it, which would reinforce the illustrations as a brand standard.

The Sketches
After sorting through dozens of previous ecosystem design, spanning decades, I sketched out several concepts for a modular design. It needed to represent the industry, but also each business and section within those industries as well.
This groundwork of quick sketches helped everyone figure out what was needed and not needed quickly.

Some of the Illustrations
After several meetings with industry experts, stakeholders, and collaboration with the illustrator we had dozens of new isometric assets for export. Each individual asset had four angles and could be placed together in anyway needed.
Status Loop Video
After the Ecosystem Illustrations were approved I worked with a freelance motion designer create a video asset that was used in several marketing campaigns.
This showed the illustration's versatility in story telling and helped inspire other departments to use the new assets in anyway they needed.
